Description

This qualification is valid for 2 years and is usually the minimum requirement for all lifeguards who work in swimming pools across the UK.  It is divided into 2 units and awarded following the successful completion of both.

Unit 1 covers the general aspects of pool lifeguarding including pool operation, supervision, accident prevention and rescue skills as well as resuscitation and first aid.

Unit 2 puts the skills and knowledge learnt into practice at the pool training venue.
